Basically the concept is for our company to use this with our patients.
Scene enters on a family getting ready in the am. Mom is making breakfast, dad is getting coffee and getting ready for work, son is at the table. Son asks Dad if he’s coming to his game the next day and the Dad says no, he’s going hunting this weekend. The son looks sad and the Dad get mad at him for pouting. Then the Dad lays into him about not acting like a baby at the game, he needs to be tough…no crying every time he gets hit.
Next scene we see the Dad in the hospital ER room with a Dr checking him out and he’s whincing. The family comes into the scene in shock that the Dad is there. The Dads hunting buddy text the wife as he was taking the Dad to the hospital. The Dad had fallen and got hurt during hunting. The family rushes into the ER room asking what happened. The Dad plays tough and says he’s fine, it’s the buddy that wanted him checked out…as he whinces and gets mad at the Dr. checking him out.
After a couple minutes the son asks the Dr. about the HEART post on the wall. The Dr. explains the hospitals idea of HEART and how it applies with the patients. The son says “So you want to hear if someone is hurt?” and the Dr. responds, “Of course, that’s how we make sure you get the care you need”. Then the Dads light goes on in his head and begins to tell the Dr about his arm.
Closing scene you see the Dad apologizing to his son about telling him to hold in the pain and tells him “I shouldn’t tell you to hold in your pain….the Dr. was right, if you’re in pain you need to tell someone”. They hug and you see the mom in the background watching the scene unfold with a smile and slight emotional tear.
