Presents: 4th And Goal

Executive Producer:

Randy Roberts, Visionary Productions

Storyline & Synopsis:

Inspired by true-to-life events, Lennon “Lenni” Prince is a confident first-string college quarterback who decides to opt out of the NFL draft and stay his senior year to help clinch a championship title.

A life changing event transpires that seemingly dashes Lennon’s dream of becoming a NFL football player when he suffers an aneurism that leads to a freak accident that causes him to lose his eyesight.

His future is completely dark, literally and figuratively as he lies in a hospital bed angry and bitter, even as his friends, family, girlfriend and teammates give him love, support and encouragement. He is non-appreciative of their attempts to try to make him feel better and rejects any comfort they try to offer.

Befriended by Max, a hospital friend and confidant, Lenni leaves the hospital with mixed emotions of frustration, anger and hope as he rejoins the team as the place kicker. Lennon is clouded by doubt, an emotion he has never had to deal with, worried that he will be considered a joke, or used as a pawn to gain sympathy.

He is firmly reminded by Coach Phillips that he is not going to be pitied and will not ever play the game unless he earns the position just like any other player.

Accepting the challenge, he shares his news with Max, who shares with him his own struggles and how he overcame his own impossible goals. Through that revelation, and from the undying support of his family, girlfriend and community, Lenni accepts that he cannot change his past but he can choose his future.

He is reminded by Max that his dreams will not die unless he allows them to, and embraces his new role as kicker on his college football team; however all is not a bed of roses for Lenni as he wants to be considered more than a novelty.

Using a magnetic board and headset, Coach Phillips helps guide Lenni through lineups, drills and ultimately creating in the development of the “signature play” that is instrumental in the championship game.

We see Lennon Prince has regained the respect of his teammates, and more importantly, he sees himself as a winner.

Our story ends with a victory.
